Rockstar Games releases Grand Theft Auto 6 on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The title arrives two weeks after Nintendo drops a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Switch 2. Industry observers note that November’s schedule is otherwise quiet following the major releases of September and October, but at least 58 other games share the launch window with the sequel.

The concentration of titles stems from publishers avoiding a direct head-to-head release in the previous two months. Titles like Marvel’s Wolverine and Gears of War: E-Day dominated the fall calendar. Many developers are now using the lull to push mid-sized projects that would have struggled for attention earlier in the year. Additionally, the absence of a PC version for GTA 6 allows PC-exclusive titles to capture a dedicated audience during the same period.

Atari leads the month with two remaster projects. Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered launches on November 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Pipeworks Studios, the original developer, rebuilt the 2002 fighting game in Unreal Engine 5. The update includes online multiplayer and a reworked unlock system. This marks the first time the title is available on PlayStation consoles, as the original version only launched on Nintendo GameCube and Xbox. The release date aligns with Godzilla Day.

Blizzard Entertainment releases World of Warcraft: Forever on November 4 for PC. This new rendition runs alongside the current and Classic versions of the MMO. Set during the game’s first year, the title diverges into an alternate continuity. Blizzard has announced three new zones and a new playable race called the Skyborn Elves. Players with a regular World of Warcraft subscription can access all three versions of the game.

Nintendo releases The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake on November 5 for the Switch 2. The company positions this as its biggest Switch 2 title of the year. Nintendo stated that it will not return to the classic Zelda formula with new games, making this remake a primary way for players to experience the original gameplay style. The release occurs just before the GTA 6 launch, a move that contrasts with the strategy of Sony and Microsoft, which have avoided launching prominent exclusives in November.

Several other notable titles release on November 10. DreamWorks Shrek 2 Remastered arrives for multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Aspyr, which handled retro Star Wars remasters, is developing the project rather than original publisher Activision. The game retains local co-op and adds online play options. On the same day, Auroch Digital releases Warhammer Survivors. This officially sanctioned Vampire Survivors clone features characters from both Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000. Poncle, the developer of Vampire Survivors, provided the game engine to Auroch Digital.

Also launching on November 10 is Australia Did It: End-Of-The-World Railway Defense Business for PC. This project is a collaboration between indie studio Aesthetician Labs and designer Rami Ismail. The game blends turn-based strategy with tower defense mechanics. Players manage up to 30 types of units that can be merged to create more than 1,500 different combinations. A free demo is available on Steam.

On November 12, three additional titles hit the market. Atari and Digital Eclipse release Barbie Rewind, a compilation of 17 retro games spanning the NES to the Game Boy Advance. The collection includes the first official release of Barbie: Vacation Adventure, a title originally intended for the SNES and Sega Mega Drive. Nintendo also releases Pikmin 4 Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy on November 12. This update adds a side mode with 72 timed challenges that arrive weekly, keeping players engaged for over a year. Finally, Sega and TECOPARK release Sonic Pico Park, a cooperative puzzle platformer for up to eight players that incorporates Sonic mechanics like the spin dash and loop-de-loops.

Grand Theft Auto 6 serves as the month’s anchor release. It is the sequel to GTA 5, which launched 13 years ago. The game aims for high immersion and realism in both graphics and gameplay. Predictions suggest that 1.5 million people in the United States plan to take sick days to play the game upon its release. The title is exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S at launch, with a PC port rumored for the future.
