Gabourey Sidibe confronted Raven-Symoné on the Tea Time podcast about a long-standing personal rift. Sidibe, known for her role in American Horror Story, told the host that she believed Symoné disliked her. She stated, "I didn't think you liked me." The host, who is a former Disney star, reacted with laughter but then addressed the specific accusations head-on.

Sidibe claimed the tension went beyond general awkwardness. She said, "I was told that you made some people promise to not be friends with me." Symoné asked who had relayed that information to Sidibe. The guest named specific individuals, but the podcast team edited those names out of the final broadcast. Symoné remained silent for a moment while her wife, Miranda Maday, interjected to clarify the dynamics of the situation.

Maday noted that a specific person, whose name was bleeped, was known for stirring up trouble. She said, "We have to tell you things offline about that situation." Sidibe then recalled a specific incident at a restaurant in Chicago. She described Symoné's demeanor as put off. When Symoné asked if she was a bitch, Sidibe confirmed she felt that way.

Maday defended her wife by explaining that Symoné often appears cold to strangers. She said, "When Raven doesn't know somebody.. she can come off very cold and very distant." Maday emphasized that this distance was not personal and was a default behavior for someone who does not know the other person well. She added that she and Symoné are open to a fresh start in their friendship with Sidibe.

Symoné acknowledged that she had a lot on her shoulders, a topic she planned to discuss privately later. She admitted that she might have been a little bit of a bitch in the past. She stated, "I own up to it." The host expressed appreciation for Sidibe calling out the behavior directly, noting her long career in the industry.

The exchange generated immediate discussion among fans. Some observers suggested that Symoné gets away with cold behavior because of her status. Others pointed to gender dynamics in how the public expects women in the entertainment industry to interact. A few critics questioned why Maday felt the need to defend Symoné so aggressively during the segment.
