Charlotte, North Carolina, residents can expect high temperatures in the low 80s on Friday. The weather station reports this reading is just short of the daily record of 84 degrees for that date.
The final week of October has been marked by dry conditions and above-average warmth. After a cool start to the day with lows in the 40s and 50s, a rapid warmup will drive afternoon highs to near-record levels.
Cooler weather returns for the weekend. Saturday highs will top out near 70 degrees, a figure closer to the late-October average. Evening conditions on Halloween are expected to remain dry with temperatures in the 60s.
Sunday and Monday will maintain cooler temperatures. Precipitation chances have dropped significantly, making measurable rain unlikely. Forecasters anticipate only a few sprinkles during that period.
An unsettled pattern is expected to develop later next week. The first round of rain is scheduled to arrive Wednesday into Thursday. This system may bring scattered thunderstorms, and forecasters have higher confidence that the precipitation will remain organized as it approaches the area.
