St. Louis ended a six-game home losing streak against Boston with a 4-1 victory on Thursday night. The Blues had gone 0-3-3 in their last six home meetings with the Bruins, a run that stretched back to Game 4 of the 2019 Stanley Cup Final.

James Hagens gave Boston the early lead at 5:28 of the first period. He deflected a shot by Casey Mittelstadt to make it 1-0. St. Louis answered on a power play at 15:43. Jimmy Snuggerud fired a one-timer from the left faceoff circle to tie the game. Robert Thomas assisted on the goal, which ended a 138-minute, 38-second scoreless drought for the Blues.

Philip Broberg took the lead for St. Louis at 5:17 of the second period. He received a pass from behind the net by Connor McMichael and scored a wrist shot from the top of the slot. Thomas added another goal at 12:08 to make it 3-1. He took the puck from Justin Barron at the blue line and shot high into the corner past Jeremy Swayman.

Jake Neighbours added a power-play goal at 12:42 of the third period to seal the win. Joel Hofer stopped 14 shots for Boston, while Swayman recorded 31 saves for St. Louis. Thomas finished with one goal and two assists. Broberg also recorded one goal and two assists.

The Blues travel to Detroit to face the Red Wings on Saturday. Boston hosts the Chicago Blackhawks at home on Saturday.
